Everton Begins Drill Program At The Tres Bocas Prospect, Loma El Mate Concession, Dominican Republic
Everton Resources Inc. (EVR – TSX-V) is pleased to announce the beginning of a 10-hole drill program at the Tres Bocas Prospect of the Loma el Mate concession, located 5 kilometers southeast of the Pueblo Viejo mine, in the Dominican Republic.
The program is designed to follow-up encouraging results obtained from the fall 2005 drill campaign, where values of 1.3 g/t gold, 106 g/t silver, 2.5% copper and 1.3% zinc over 0.4 meter were obtained in hole TBM-02. A surface gossan-bearing composite interval between 2 to 8 meters depth returned 1.67 g/t gold in hole TMB-03, including 2-meter intervals of 1.35 g/t, 3.05 g/t and 0.63 g/t gold (press release of Jan 17, 2006). Near the TMB-03 hole location, float samples of gossan yielded highly anomalous gold values of up to 29.4 g/t gold.
The actual program aims at testing ground geophysical induced polarization (IP) conductors in coincidence with geochemical soil anomalies. This will allow at better defining the gold-bearing gossan zone at surface and the extension of the base metal sulfide mineralization.
Everton and Linear Gold Corp. are joint venture partners having an equal interest in the Loma el Mate Concession.
