Everton and Azimut discover a 1.7 km-long gold bearing trend on the Opinaca Property (A-Block), James Bay, Quebec

Everton Resources Inc. (TSXV:EVR) and Azimut Exploration Inc. (TSXV:AZM) jointly announce the discovery of a gold bearing trend on the A-Block of the Opinaca Property. The Opinaca Property is adjacent to the Eleonore Property of Virginia Gold Mines that hosts the Roberto major discovery.

Surface prospecting results received late this fall for 22 grab samples from outcrops delineate a gold bearing trend with values ranging from 0.1 g/t Au to 29.0 g/t Au along a 1.7 km strike length. Values higher than 0.5 g/t Au are as follows: 2.85 g/t Au (western most grab sample), 29.07 g/t Au, 10.92 g/t Au, 6.58 g/t Au, 6.73 g/t Au, 1.61 g/t Au, 0.76 g/t Au, 3.56 g/t Au, 0.62 g/t Au, 0.52 g/t Au, 0.78 g/t Au, 1.23 g/t Au (eastern most grab sample).

The host rock is a metasedimentary gneiss containing trace to 3% sulphides. The mineralized gneissic horizon has an apparent lateral continuity and is open in all directions. Its western most limit is located 12 km NE of the Virginia’s discovery. Follow-up work will be performed this winter to further define the trend’s geometry and the continuity of the gold grades. Everton and Azimut are very encouraged by these preliminary results.

Interpretation of the summer campaign results is in progress and may lead to define other targets on the Property. The Opinaca Property (A- and A-East blocks) is comprised of 396 claims (206.3 km2). Azimut holds a 100% interest in Opinaca and Everton has the option to earn up to 65% interest.

This press release was revised by geologist Marc L’Heureux, Vice President Exploration for Everton who is the company’s Qualified Person under NI 43-101. Field work on Opinaca was conducted under the direction of geologist Réjean Girard of IOS Services Géoscientifiques Inc. in Saguenay, Quebec.

Everton is a well-financed junior company with gold and base metal properties in James Bay, Quebec, the Dominican Republic and Uruguay.
