EVERTON COMMENCES DRILLING ON THE CUANCE MASSIVE SULFIDE TARGET IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

Everton Resources Inc. (TSX-V – EVR) is pleased to announce that a 6-hole diamond drilling program has commenced on the Cuance Concession, Dominican Republic, located 6 kilometers south-east of Barrick/Goldcorp’s Pueblo Viejo gold mine and 12 kilometers east of GlobeStar’s Cerro de Maimon copper gold development.

The Cuance drill program is adjacent to the Everton/Linear’s Tres Bocas massive sulphide discovery on the Loma El Mate Concession.  Drilling is designed to determine if the massive sulfide body discovered on the Loma El Mate concession extends onto the Cuance and adjacent Los Hojanchos Concessions. The high grade massive sulphide discovery hole TBM-07 on the Loma El Mate Concession, located only 120 meters from the Cuance concession, cut 10.58 meters grading 2.96 g/t gold, 104.91 g/t silver, 2.03% copper and 9.41% zinc (press release of May 17, 2006). Recent interpretation of geological and geochemical data in conjunction with a review of ground Induced Polarization (I.P.) data by an independent consulting geophysicist, Gérard Lambert Géosciences Inc., proposes that conductive bodies plunge in a south easterly direction from the Loma El Mate concession onto the Cuance Concession for a distance up to 300 meters.

Everton has just completed a 12-hole drill program on the Loma El Mate Concession and the drill core is currently being logged and will be sent to Laboratoire Expert Inc. of Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. Results are expected by mid fall 2006.

Everton and Globestar Mining are joint venture partners on the Cuance and adjacent Los Hojanchos Concessions.  Everton can earn a 50% interest by spending US$ 1.17 million on exploration work over three years.  Everton can earn an additional 20% by funding a feasibility study to bring the project into production.

This press release was prepared by Marc L’Heureux, P. Geo. and Everton’s Vice-President Exploration, who acts as the “Qualified Person” for the purpose of the National Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Properties.

Everton Resources  is actively exploring in the Opinaca region near James Bay Quebec where Everton has amassed one of the largest land claims adjacent to the Eleonore Gold discovery where Goldcorp Inc. (NYSE:GG TSX:G) is proposing to spend several hundreds of millions of dollars developing its recent property acquisition.  Everton Resources is also actively drilling in the Dominican Republic adjacent to where the world’s largest gold mining company, Barrick Gold (NYSE-TSX:ABX), is partnering with Goldcorp to develop the 15 million ounce Pueblo Viejo gold deposit, one of the world’s largest deposits, at an estimated cost of US$1.4 billion.
